There is always room for carrying out more recycling at school, at work and at home. We will be looking at ways to further promote recycling within school.
Vale Royal Council has just announced that they will be introducing plastic bottle recycling
to most households in the area. This is great news for those living in
the area, as it will allow us to recycle even more of our waste.
Some Facts about Recycling in Vale Royal:
- OVER 22,000 tonnes of waste recycled last year
- That gives us a RECYCLING RATE of 42%
- The TARGET is to achieve a 50% RECYCLING RATE
YOU CAN HELP
Lets face it, children are usually better at keeping upto date with new things that are happening. Older persons can get a bit stuck with doing thngs the way they always used to.
You can keep an eye on how well your household is performing at recycling.
Make sure that all the paper that can be recycled, goes into the paper recycling bag. Are empty food tins and jars being recycled? Are you composting?
Here is a great website about recycling, made especially for schools, chidlren and teachers it has lots of information plus games. http://www.recyclezone.org.uk/ |
